The Forecast for April
March was another marathon show month, so apologies for the lack of actual content on the Pedal lately. I will hopefully be able to regail you with esoteric music chat or interesting web links more often in April. Here's your 30-day forecast...
- An acoustic set at Uncommon Ground on April 10th. The lineup's been changed so I'm playing at 10pm and will be followed by a guy who plays Roger in Rent, who is obviously my favorite character since he's a jaded yet romantically-inclined musician.
- Canasta has two non-club gigs in the area coming up. We're playing an Earth Day shindig at the University of Chicago and then a big-ass 2 hour set at my favorite dive bar in Andersonville, Simon's, where we will almost certainly play the majority of the new record.
- Chicago Gay Men's Chorus has their spring show on the 24th and 25th. There's a lot of gospely, bluesy rep in this one, and I'm in charge of organs, hopefully big organs.
